Data Talks on the Rocks, Part III feat. Lloyd Tabb

June 10, 2024
Stable Cafe, SF (5pm-8pm)

Come join our fireside chat with one of the data world's top innovators, Lloyd Tabb. Lloyd will share lessons learned from building Looker and how it inspired Malloy, a new programming language for data.

Lloyd Tabb spent the last 30 years revolutionizing how the world uses the internet and, by extension, data. Lloyd founded Looker, which Google acquired in 2019. At Google, Lloyd pursued his love of programming languages through Malloy -- an open source experimental programming language that aims to reinvent how programmers describe data relationships and transformations. In May 2024, Lloyd joined Meta to continue his work on Malloy and bring it into Meta’s internal data tooling.
